Brenner Brewing and The Pitch Project are pleased to present Plastic Alchemy, a solo show exhibition of recent paintings by Milwaukee-based multimedia artist Skully GustafsonSkully is the first artist to be featured in a new solo exhibition series that highlights the commissioned artists for the Brenner Brewing beer labels. Skully’s art can be found on Brenner’s Butterfly Farts Citrus Ale.

Gustafson emerges like a contemporary mythological Pan, recreating the freedom of the artist’s studio as an arena for play. Gustafson also sees it as a form of archaeology, revealing the layers of creative imagination. While remaining light, the density of the images reflects the multilayered character of his art and persona as an artist.” –Kat Murrell, Shepherd Express

About Plastic Alchemy

12th century Alchemists sought to understand and transform their world in physical terms by combining knowledge, proto-science, spirituality and mysticism. Plastic Alchemy combines the acrylic medium, abstraction, figurative mannerism and symbolism to create a contemporary recipe for visual art.
